HULL KR LOAN YOUNG STARS TO COVENTRY BEARS

We are pleased to announce that three young stars from Super League club Hull Kingston Rovers have joined the Bears on a one month loan with a view to a longer term stay. Connor Robinson, a Hooker or scrum half; Josh Guzdek, Full back or wing and Matthew Marsh, Stand off are all highly rated young players in Hull KR's first team squad and have a handful of Super League appearances between them. The trio join the Bears in time for the League season kick off this Friday and have already impressed the coaching staff in training with their core skills and professional attitudes.

Bears Head Coach Tom Tsang commented:

"I am over the moon to secure these three young players to strengthen the squad ahead of our first match against Oxford.

The opportunity arose to bring the 3 Hull KR lads to Coventry through some contacts at the Super League outfit and it was an easy decision to have them join us. They have all been in the Hull KR system for a number of years receiving good coaching and forming strong Rugby League habits. They are training in a full time environment at KR, under the guidance of a top coaching staff. The lads cover a number of key positions and give us some much needed depth at a crucial time.

The three players have trained last week and will be with us again this week and so will come into immediate consideration for selection for Fridays game which will give me and the other coaches some difficult decisions which is a great place to be in."

The Bears kick start their Kingston Press Cider League One campaign against Oxford RL this Good Friday afternoon; 3pm kick off at the Butts Park Arena. Tickets can be bought on the gate priced £10 for adults, £8 concession and £2 for children.
