Nick Newman - Halfback

TT: Nick is a great addition for the Bears as we look to kick on from what ended up being a highly successful 2018. He is a halfback of great quality, with a fantastic reputation as a creative attacking play maker. . Playing under 20’s with Sydney roosters and Newcastle Knights then open age with Lakes United Seagulls making the Grand Final in 2018. Nick is the complete package, offering a strong passing and running game, as well as astute kicking and fast thinking decision making. Playing in such a crucial position for us, I expect Nick to contribute both on and off the field as a leader and be a key contributor for us in 2019.

NN: I am extremely excited to join the Coventry Bears for the 2019 season, to be able to sign for a club like Coventry is such a privilege. I am really looking forward to getting stuck into training and playing with the boys and playing under the guidance of Tom and the coaching team.

My aims for the year are to play consistent footy and play my part in helping the team improving from last year. January could not come quick enough, I’m really looking forward to the opportunity.
