Flyer Jamahl Hunte signs for 2016

Coventry Bears are today delighted to announce that winger Jamahl Hunte has today put pen to paper on a new one year deal which will keep him at the club for the 2016 season.

Hunte, who signed from Halifax at the start of last season, has brought an added edge to the Bears attack with his searing speed and his ability to find the try line throughout the course of the season.

His speed has been a handful for many defenses in the league this season and he will be hoping to continue his try scoring exploits in 2016.

Speaking on his new deal the Huddersfield native said “I am really happy to be re-signing the Bears for another season. I have enjoyed my first season and hope that the team can push on to bigger and better things.”

“I hope that I can keep improving with the club and push on ot be a key player for next season.”

Bears Managing Director Alan Robinson added “Jamahl is another player who has made a big impact to the club this season, with his pace and finishing ability he is a constant threat to defences. He is another player who has made a real name for himself and off the field, he has engaged with the local community in a manner which has endeared him with school children and fans alike. He will be another great addition for the squad for 2016".

Hunte is the second player to put pen to paper for the 2016 season and will be followedmore re-signings in the coming days.
