New Signings Update

Bears new signings

Below we feature a host of our new signings who have recently joined the club. Head Coach Tom Tsang takes us through each player and what they offer.

Jack Morrison

Jack Morrison

Jack Morrison

Front rower Jack, joins us from NCL club Ince Rose Bridge in Wigan, but has previously played for Swinton, Barrow and Warrington Wolves. He is an experienced player despite his young age and has made a positive impact immediately in just a few weeks at the club.

Jason Bass

Jason Bass

Jason Bass

Jason is a 19 year old Centre or Winger from Leicester. He has played Rugby League for RFL Midlands Academy in Loughborough and also the RFL North East Academy when he is studying at University in Newcastle. Bass was a standout in the Reserve Grade since moving back to the Midlands and has been great since he stepped up to the first team against Oxford. He has a great attitude and good athletic ability and is really relishing the opportunity to play at this level, learn and improve. He is already doing well, but is a definite star of the future.

Joel James

Joel James

Joel James

Joel is the brother of former Superleague and Welsh international player Jordan James. Based in Birmingham he has been training with the first team squad for just over a month and has shown a great attitude and commitment. He has played well for the reserves and I am sure once he gets up to the speed of League One now he has made his debut he will be a great asset to the club.

Andy Unsworth

Andy Unsworth

Andy Unsworth

Andy originally came on a one month loan from Halifax but has now joined the club until the end of the season. He can play anywhere in the middle of the field and gives us a different skill set in the forwards. He has the ability to create second phase play with his offloading and is a strong defender. His presence adds to what is become a fearsome forward pack.
