LEEDS RHINOS PREVIEW
The stage is set for Champions visit.
The countdown has begun towards Coventry Bears pre-season game against Leeds Rhinos, kick off 7.45, 19th January at the Butts Park Arena.
One hundred and fifty people have booked hospitality packages-a full house set to have a full evening’s entertainment from 6.15pm as the Bears celebrate their 20th season as a club.
Season ticket sales have already beaten last year’s record and advance ticket sales are high with a big crowd expected to turn up on the night for what is also the Bears first semi-pro game under floodlights.
Bears Coach Tom Tsang has selected a 21 man strong squad for the fixture, including key pre-season signings and old favourites.

Meanwhile, Rhinos playing legend Rob Burrow, who retired last season is on coaching duty for the first time with a Leeds side brimming with talent such as Ash Handley, Jordan Lilley, Josh Walters, Josh Jordan-Roberts, Mikolaj Oledzki and Cameron Smith.
So how will the new look Bears side gel together? Will they avenge the 102-0 hammering Leeds gave to the Coventry Northern Union side back in 1913? And could this be a foretaste of bigger games to come in a few years time?
